I have owned my GV650 since April 08 and currently have 6950 miles on her. Problems that I have had so far is front wheel bearings needed replacement - fixed under warranty and clutch cable broke at 4800 miles. No other problems - still love the bike. just an update.

After only 9000 kilometres, nothing but unresolved problems - hard starting and occasional slow cranking. As well, already blew inlet manifold gaskets and pulse coil. Carbies always going out of tune. It spent 4 weeks in workshop over 7 weeks. However, I have now solved all my problems - I sold this useless and unreliable trash and went back to Yamaha. Got it 2 and half months ago and have logged just under 2000 miles! This bike LOVES to be handled like a sport bike, counter steering on tight turns, at higher than recommended speeds, and all!! It feels more stable underneath you than a sport bike of the same output though. I wish I could figure out a way to put a pic of it up here...... Check the stats on the 2008 EFI (electronic fuel injected) version.
